THE ARTIST - LAURYN STEITZ

I’m a Phoenix, Arizona native. I discovered pottery in 2023 at a mom and pop studio in the melrose district. It changed my life. I spent countless hours in the studio learning, perfecting, experimenting.

It wasn’t until 2025 that I felt pottery was something I would have the opportunity to share with others. It had been such a private, intimate two years. It had always just been me and the clay.

I lived in San Diego for a brief stint where I stumbled upon this sidewalk market in Carlsbad. That is where I first set up a booth and sold some of my pieces. The positive feedback I received was astounding.

I didn’t start pottery to sell it. I do not consider myself a production potter. I’m an artist that expresses themselves through clay.
